LATE NIGHT SPECIAL
Late Night Special is all about breaking rules and lifting spirits. Originating in Charlotte,
the band’s eclectic Southern swagger is electric, forward-thinking and nothing short of
fun. Add equal parts Zeppelin, Chili Peppers, Kings of Leon, and a dash of Prince, and
there you have it: the funked-up indie rock n’ soul cocktail that is Late Night Special
(shaken, not stirred).
The band has earned the featured act slot for the nationally-touring Night Lights Sky Lantern
Festival, seeing around 100,000 people per year. Additional achievements
include earning support slots for Gin Blossoms, SUSTO, Marcus King, and Lovin’ Life
Music Fest, and even running its own hometown music festival.
After landing its 2020 indie anthem “Don’t Leave Me Lonely” with The Pat McAfee
Show, the song catapulted to well over 1 million streams on Spotify alone. LNS has
since taken up a Queen’s approach to songwriting, showing off its range with ethereal
dreamscapes (World Remains the Same), feel-good power ballads (“Summer Nights”),
and bouncy electro-pop (“Go Dance the Night Away”).
Listen to the latest single, “It’s My City,” for a modernized take on stadium
rock and a call for hometown pride.
